Blowin & Goin

Posted: January 18, 2012 in 2012 Training

We have been training up Sinks Canyon all winter and this is our first trip to the old training grounds on South Pass.  The usual wind greeted us with gusts in the 40 mph range. Not too bad as it really started to BLOW after we got back to the trailhead. It was way to strong to put dog bowls out for food so I just held two bowls at a time with a litttle water, then on down the mountain to the home kennel to feed, water and check feet. All is well.

Hello Jerry and Sandy, great video, keep them coming, They’re inspirational to those of us still in the should I shouldn’t I phase of deciding about a team!! When you responded to my last comment, after your Yellowstone run, you told me next time I was in Lander to stop by and check out the kennel. Please don’t feel obligated, I know how schedules can get tight, especially with all you two are doing but I will be in Lander next Tuesday, January 24th. I’d like to stop by and meet you and your dogs and take a look at your kennel. I have been going back and forth with a guy in Montana, may buy a team from him. His name is Todd Lerol. I mentioned to him that I found you through your ad in Dog Sled Central and hoped to tour your kennel someday. He says he knows you, small community. If next Tuesday works for you (anytime) let me know. If not, Lander is one of my favorite places and I’ll be through again soon.

    Thanks
    diana
